Raleigh, NC, USA, April 27, 2023 – AFEX Fire Suppression Systems, specialists in designing and manufacturing fire protection systems for heavy-duty mobile equipment, held its annual distributor training school event on April 18-19, 2023, in Raleigh, NC, USA. AFEX partners from around the globe were invited to convene for continuing education and discussions around fire suppression system installation, maintenance, and inspection. At the conclusion of the event, distributors completed an exam to obtain a two-year certification, arming them with the knowledge and skills to support the AFEX system.
Global Distributor Network Considers Installation Best Practices & Industry Trends
AFEX fire suppression systems are installed on machines in a variety of industries around the globe. To support these installations, distributors from across the world attended the 2023 training school event. Partners traveled to Raleigh, NC from countries including Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and South Africa.

Both new and established distributors attended the interactive training school led primarily by the AFEX Product Support and Engineering teams. Over the course of the two-day event, distributors learned the importance of third-party certifications; discussed the emergence of battery-equipped vehicles; and studied installation and maintenance best practices aided by new educational videos. The group also got hands-on with the industry-leading AFEX Control Unit, reviewing panel configuration and testing. The distributors were also able to check their understanding throughout the course by interacting with a live polling and Q&A tool on their mobile phones.
Partners Foster Relationships with Peers at Social Event
AFEX hosted a networking event at Drive Shack following the first day of training to give distributors a chance to mingle and learn from one another in a less formal setting. Distributors were able to engage in some friendly competition while sharing experiences in the field with their peers and the AFEX operations, sales, and marketing teams.

“The AFEX team appreciates the dedication of our valued partners and their commitment to continuing education through participation in our annual training school,” said Rod Cavallaro, President of AFEX. “Not only is this event an opportunity to share industry trends and insights we’ve gathered with our distributors, but we also get the chance to collect valuable feedback from our partners to keep improving. Thank you to all who participated.”
