The AFEX Control Unit is the Industry-Leading Fire Detection Display

Raleigh, NC, USA, February 16, 2021 – AFEX Fire Suppression Systems, specialists in designing and manufacturing fire protection systems for mobile heavy equipment, has announced a significant upgrade to the industry-leading fire detection display, the Control Unit. With a focus on continuous improvement, AFEX leaders have listened to the feedback from distributors and end users and upgraded the Control Unit to include enhanced features to aid in system monitoring, data collection and more.

Advanced Fire Detection Panel for Heavy-Duty Mobile Equipment

Control panels are a critical component of a fire suppression system. These devices are mounted inside the equipment cab to consistently monitor the vehicle for an onboard fire. If the system detects a fire, the control panel alerts the cab driver to evacuate the machine while also discharging the system to suppress the fire quickly, minimizing overall damage.

AFEX's Control Unit is a panel with advanced features that has proven itself to be durable, powerful, reliable and easy to use for the past decade. Some key features of the Control Unit include an integrated, programmable LCD display; standalone battery; internal data log; telematics connectivity; audible alarm and flashing LED lights; and up to two simultaneous detection circuits.
